In addition to the large variety of barbecue rib selections, Famous Dave’s menu includes barbecue sandwiches, burgers, fish, chicken, salads and desserts.
“Everything on our menu is famous,” Mathenia says, (He throws around the word “famous” like most people use the word “awesome.”) and describes Famous Dave’s atmosphere as “open, inviting, fun, intense, famous, relaxed and ribilicious.
“All of our team is just about making sure everyone leaves happy and gets what they want the first time — not the second or third time,” Mathenia adds. “We’re going to make sure they feel ‘famous’ when they walk in the door and when they walk out, too.”
Famous Dave’s grand opening ceremony is set for Monday, May 25, 10:30 a.m., with a “rib cutting” at 10:45 a.m. The restaurant’s doors will open at 11 a.m. Regular hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
And about those jobs — Famous Dave’s is still taking applications.
“We’re always going to keep that open and make sure we’re always training new people and make sure people are always ‘famous’ and keeping jobs,” Mathenia said.
Those interested in applying should do so in person at the restaurant.
